Attribution and Data Sources
============================

The Finnish-English glosses and the inflection index are both derived from
English Wiktionary <https://en.wiktionary.org/>.

Wiktionary's text is dual-licensed under:

  - Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0)
    https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/

  - GNU Free Documentation License, version 1.1 or later (GFDL)

See <https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:Copyrights> for Wiktionary's own
statement of this.

As a result the lexical data, in the dictionary and inflection index alike, are
both licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

If you want that data under its own terms rather than as part of this program,
ask and you will be sent it:

  andrew@siilikuin.com

The upstream is public in any case — everything here derives from Wiktionary's
own dumps, and nothing in this dictionary is unavailable at the source.

Contributing back
-----------------

If you find an error in a definition or an inflection, the durable fix is
upstream. Correcting it at Wiktionary improves this dictionary and every other
tool built on the same data.
