About Taskusanakirja

Taskusanakirja is a Finnish-English dictionary that searches as fast as you
can type. The name is Finnish for "pocket dictionary":

  tasku (pocket) +
  sana (word) +
  kirja (book)


This program is unique in that it optimizes for speed above all else. It is
meant to be the kind of program a university student opens up and leaves running
in the background for 3 or 4 hours because it's just so damn fast and small
and unobtrusive. I sincerely hope it improves your experience reading Finnish
and getting acquainted with the vast vocabulary of this language.


Taskusanakirja is built by Andrew Quinn, a software developer and Finnish
learner in Tampere, Finland.
